Rezulin Case to be Tried In US Supreme Court

February 20th, 2008 · No Comments

All of the Rezulin diet drug lawsuits have been settled by the drug’s maker except for 187 from Michigan. These 187 cases will be heard by the United States Supreme Court. It is possible because the lawsuit is also challenging Michigan’s pro-drug company legislation which does not allow individuals to sue drug companies for problems with medications.

If the Supreme Court sides with the drug company and Michigan’s law in this case, drug laws across the country will change. This is because the key issue in this case is whether the FDA’s oversight of pharmaceuticals, both over-the-counter and prescription, confers immunity on drug manufacturers because they complied with Federal standards.

If you or someone you know has been diagnosed with Primary Pulmonary Hypertension (PPH) following use of any of a number of diet drugs including fen-phen, ReduxTm, and Rezulin, contact the PPH lawyers of Williams Kherkher at 1-866-950-9000 to discuss your case and to schedule an initial consultation.
