A lawsuit has been filed in U.S. District Court in Pennsylvania against the makers of Avandia. It claims that the makers should have known of the possible risks of taking Avandia which include a significant increased risk of heart failure, heart attack and stroke.
According to the plaintiff’s lawyers, taking Avandia caused him to have significant heart problems which lead to heart bypass surgery. Prior to the surgery, he experienced extreme heart pain and decreased energy.
The injured man had been an auctioneer prior to his heart problems. The surgery has caused a decrease in his energy level and he’s lost many job opportunities due to his lack of energy.
Avandia was touted as a lifestyle drug that would allow Type-2 Diabetes patients to control their blood sugar without having to take insulin. Instead it has been shown to be a cause of Primary Pulmonary Hypertension (PPH) as well as cause an increased risk of heart attacks.
If you or someone you know has taken Avandia and then been diagnosed with PPH, contact the PPH lawsuit attorneys of Williams Kherkher at 1-866-950-9000 to discuss your case and to schedule an initial consultation.
