Alli Still a Weapon for Weight-loss

October 31st, 2007 · No Comments

Alli, the first over-the-counter FDA approved weight-loss drug, is still a weapon for weight-loss. The biggest benefit doctors are seeing is that it’s a lot safer than older weight-loss drugs. They are frequently fielding questions from patients about it’s effectiveness and any side effects. Alli is known to prevent the absorption of fat by the intestines; however, it also blocks the absorption of good fats such as the popular Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids.

Despite its popularity, many people are still leery of diet drugs since fen-phen was taken off of the market 10 years ago after being linked to heart problems such as Primary Pulmonary Hypertension (PPH).

If you or someone you know took fen-phen and have experienced symptoms of PPH or been diagnosed with PPH, contact the PPH lawyers at Williams Kherkher.
